A busy start to the New Year
The Christmas break is always a quiet one for estate agents although the big freeze last year kept us busy with management issues in the lettings department. Thankfully, this year our tenants didn't have the same problems however we were pleasantly surprised that as our offices resumed normal business after the New Year, the majority of calls were on the sales side. A record number of post new year viewings were made and the diary has been filling up with valuations.
Nobody knows what 2012 will bring in terms of movement in the property market, but the early signs of activity are definately encouraging. The current milder weather could be a contributing factor or is it just frustration. Time will tell!.
