TV CAMERAS COME TO DRIFFIELD

TV cameras will be at Dee Atkinson Harrison's saleroom once again this Saturday 31st July to film for the recommissioned BBC2 series Antiques Road Trip.

Antiques Road Trip is a lively 45 minute entertainment show where twelve of Britain's best loved antique experts compete with each other to trade up from a starting budget of £200 to make the most money each day at auction, using their personal antiques knowledge, buying skills and luck in finding the right items to take on to the next destination and the next auction.

In Driffield on Saturday are experts James Braxton and Thomas Plant who have travelled the breath and width of the country in search of rare curiosities and antiquities in the hope of finding a gem that will turn a handsome profit! They set off in a classic car driving around the pretty country lanes, highways and byways, through towns and villages on a journey that leads them to the unexpected and the unusual. They visit grand mansions to the small and quirky telling us about the local interests and landmarks as they snake their way down country. They met the local antique dealers as they try to haggle the best price for their finds. We then find out if they bought wisely at the auction. We see at first hand the highs and lows of the experts as the gavel falls on each of their lots determining a loss of profit. This carries though to the next day when they start all over again. By the end of the week the expert with the most profit wins and all the profits go to charity - Children in Need.

Please note that there will be an area in the saleroom where clients who do not wish to be filmed can stand.
