Dee Atkinson & Harrison’s Antique and Fine Art Auction took place on the 28th November and this last online auction of the year containing just over six hundred lots attracted the usual worldwide interest despite competing with “Black Friday” now taking place on both sides of the Atlantic. The sale started at 9.45am with the silver section and most lots performed as expected with the highest prices for the larger heavier items. A 1979 tea tray sold for £640 and a Victorian four piece tea and coffee set £480. The jewellery commenced with a collection of fourteen Victorian and later sovereigns which made £150 to £170 each and a George VI 1937 gold £2 coin which realised £850. An 18ct gold, sapphire and diamond ring sold for £1,500, a ruby and diamond ring £1,400 and a diamond cluster ring £1,000. A Chinese jade necklace made a double estimate £300 thanks to internet bidding from China.
