Saleroom Lot Listings

Saturday 29th July 2017

We are delighted to provide the catalogue for our highest value Live bidding auction of Classic Cars, Motorcycles and Automobilia. Within the catalogue, Dee Atkinson & Harrison have been honoured with instructions to auction the motorcycle collection of Andy Dix who recently passed away. Andy was a successful businessman who enjoyed the fruits of his hard work, never more so than on the track. In 2009 he was in a group of guys who were doing the trackday scene and decided they wanted to live the dream, so they formed a team under Derek Redmond to race in the Hottrax series (the two Kawasaki’s). After that he started racing with Jonathon Garnett for Think Do/ Zero Limits Racing in the No Limits series (the BMW’s). This year he and Dave Croft were going to compete in Ducati Trioption Cup, supporting the BSB series (the 959). Nicknamed “Iceman” (due to landing a plane with a failed engine) from my research and speaking to his friends who have helped me with the transportation of the collection and with the details of each bikes history, he was a larger than life character, who would help anyone if he could and the heart and soul of an event and is sorely missed. The collection has been very well maintained, living in a temperate controlled building with a rubber mat flooring, each machine has been fastidiously maintained. Entry to the sale is by purchase of a catalogue for £5.00 which admits two adults (children 16 and under are free).
